safenthecity: (Finn takes a stand)

It's official. I'm a Gleek.

It's unhealthy is what it is- I watched all of season one in four days. And I think I could probably watch the Lady Gaga episode over and over and not get tired of it. I nearly cried a couple of times. Kurt's dad=amazing. Also? Tina? WIN.

So, [ profile] kappamaki33, guess you don't have to worry about spoilers after all. :x

I need more icon space. There are so many great moments from this show. For now, I settle for Finn in a dress.

TV meme:

Day 09 - Best scene ever

I was going to have a Buffy scene (the gathering/planning scene in Hush) but after getting through Glee today, I have to go with this.

This sums it all up. Nothing I can say can say it better than Kurt's dad. I came this close to crying. It is so glorious to see this typical Ohio dad stand up for his gay son like this. God, I love this episode.

Day 10 - A show you thought you wouldn't like but ended up loving

Battlestar. The only reason I watched this show was because my sister was ranting and raving and carrying on about how much she loved it, and after forever listening to this, she sat me down and had me watch the first few episodes of Season 3 (which was what she had downloaded onto her computer.) I already knew the basic plot from having listened to her go on about it, so it wasn't so bad coming in that late in the game. At first I was just humoring her, but the next thing I knew I was in love and spending my money on renting the DVDs from Blockbuster.

I really thought I didn't like scifi. Damn you Battlestar, it's all your fault.

I really thought I didn't like scifi. I was the same way before watching BSG. It has this way of sucking you in, doesn't it?

Mike O'Malley ♥ (even though he'll still be the guy from GUTS forever to me)

It does. It's sneaky like that.

Mike O'Malley has such a familiar face, but I don't know what I know him from. Whatever- I love him forever just for this.

He does Time Warner Cable commercials, if they advertise in your area. Or you watched GUTS too. The Agrocrag!

Ahahaha, GUTS was amazing! It took me a second to realize what you were referencing. I always wanted to climb the Agrocrag!

Well, that and be on Legends of the Hidden Temple. I wanted to be on those shows so much.

Legends of the Hidden Temple was awesome. Who didn't want to be on that show?

I CRIED MY EYES OUT at that scene. Normally that amount of one-sided dialogue is really risky, but my friend and I were completely sucked in during it. I had my doubts about the show and the network, but that scene--I was really impressed with the writers tackling those issues and the network letting them.

Words can't even express how much that scene meant to me. The writing is so fantastic, and all three of them acted the shit out of it. Burt owns my heart forever. I think I may forgive Glee just about anything for this. (I mean, I'm already forgiving it a lot just because it's so much fun, but this... sealed the deal.)

Woohoo! Welcome to Gleekdom. Burt and Kurt are pretty much the heart of the show, I think. And I give Finn props for knowing he screwed up big time and wearing a red shower curtain dress to school to try to make amends.

I've never been seriously tempted to cosplay before, but how awesome would it be to get a bunch of friends who are willing to dress crazy together and be the Glee Gagas?

No, I give Finn sooo much credit for that. Because kids really don't think about what they say, and he was genuinely sorry he said it once Burt called him on it.

The sad thing about this is how much it honestly reminds me of my high school days. There was one very, very flamboyant gay kid in my class who got picked on by the same guy every day, until he finally stood up for himself and a bunch of his friends got behind him. The most upsetting part was that teachers saw the whole thing and didn't step in. :/

Dude, I want to do it. Being the Glee Little Monsters would be so much fun.

I watched the whole first season in like 2 or 3 days so I know how you feel.

Also, that speech....Mike O'Malley deserves an emmy.

Oh, good, I'm not alone. That's comforting. :)

I agree.
