Feeling better today. That's not really all that hard, but it's good. Thanks everybody for the support.

Day 12 - An episode you've watched more than 5 times

Buffy: Once More With Feeling.

This probably surprises no one, considering Buffy is my favorite show and I am a theater major, but I have seen this episode more times than can be considered healthy. It's a musical, for god's sake, that actually makes sense and involves plot and character development for the larger arc! And the music is actually fun and good! And there are SO MANY theater jokes that I don't even know what to do with myself! My very favorite is definitely Anya's "It was like we were being watched. Like there was a wall missing in our apartment. Like there were only three walls and not a fourth wall." JOSS I LOVE YOU.

I used to play this CD on endless repeat in high school, and I'm sure my mom got absolutely sick of hearing Ashley and I sing I'll Never Tell over and over again.

Edit

Really? Vocal Adrenaline won with that? Are you kidding? That was not a glee club, that was Jonathan Groff and His Backup Dancers. Don't get me wrong, Jonathan Groff does Bohemian Rhapsody is kind of awesome, but as a competition show choir number, it was a mess. At least when New Directions is the Lea Michelle Show they let Mercedes belt a bit and let Finn sing with her. I was completely prepared for Vocal Adrenaline to beat them- I'd have been a little miffed if they didn't. But that was the best they could do? Are you kidding? Especially with Sue voting the way she did, there is no way that should have happened.

Also, I didn't mention it before, but Lea Michelle and Idina Menzel were born to play mother and daughter. That makes my life.

And Glee fans? This is for you.

Thank god for the weird shit Broadway people do to raise money for a good cause.

My personal favorite was the, "Quick, Buffy needs back-up" line...

I'm pleased to see your new icons. I can't comment on personal post so much right now, because I'm not a head space that makes me say uplifting things. I read them though. Just so you know.

That was good! I laughed quite a lot during tha episode.

<3 It's ok, I understand. It helps just to know it's read. And it really did make my day better to sign on to that message.

I need to read the OMWF script, because there are a lot of great lines that I missed (especially when Xander and Anya are talking over one another to Giles).

Also, I have on-demand credits at Amazon right now; whyyyyy do they only have Buffy seasons 1-5??!

Yeah, Anya's quote was one I didn't hear because of Xander until the first time I watched with subtitles. I think I seriously had to pause and catch my breath. I'm a theater nerd, and that was epic. :D

Amazon FAIL.

Oh Matthew Morrison. :) I'm always surprised at how inappropriate for school a lot of his dancing on Glee is (not that I mind--he can perform "Tell Me Something Good" for me any day....), but that takes the cake.

Yep, totally in agreement on Bohemian Rhapsody. Plot-wise, it was right, but they shouldn't have won with that. I guess it's just supposed to drive home how awful and stuck up Olivia Newton-John, Josh Groban, and Newscaster Dude were?

Hee, I loved Matthew Morrison before I had any idea who he was- he was the original Link in Hairspray, and I am in love with that cast recording. And this was for the annual Broadway Bares benefit concert to raise money for AIDS-related charities... apparently they got almost a million dollars that night. Stripping for a cause; I love theater. :)

Dude, the simple solution would have been to have someone sing with... god, what's that character? Jesse? I keep wanting to call him Melchior... have other people sing with him. Because as much as I would pay to see Jonathan Groff and His Backup Dancers live (does Spring Awakening count?) that just... didn't make sense. Not even with the judges being douches. It was a choir competition. Endstop.

Their song still seems to find you

That all said, when Sue was executing her heel face turn, I was freaking out. "DEAR GOD! YOU'VE ALL CROSSED SUE SYLVESTER! YOU'RE GOING TO WAKE UP WITH HORSE HEADS IN YOUR BEDS!"

AHAHAH Yes, this is true! Josh Groban, Olivia Newton-John, and the obnoxious TV personality are all going to face severe retribution, Sue Sylvester style. She will let them love that kitten...
